Wintrust appoints new leadership at Wheaton Bank & Trust
Wintrust announced the appointment of new leadership at Wheaton Bank & Trust, part of the Wintrust Community Banks family.
Kam Kniss will become CEO, and Robert Hutchinson will serve as president. Wheaton Bank & Trust’s former president and CEO Pamela Sharar-Stoppel has been appointed to market head of Wintrust Community Banks in the western and southern suburbs and will continue to provide leadership and support to Wheaton Bank & Trust.
Kniss has been with Wintrust since 2010, and in that time, he has developed deep relationships and become a trusted advisor to clients and sponsors. He has played a critical role in the growth of Wintrust Commercial Banking.
Hutchinson joined Wintrust in 2006 and has 33 years of experience in the banking industry in the greater Chicagoland area. He is a member of the board of directors of Choose DuPage and serves as a trustee of the Conservation Foundation and the Wetlands Initiative.
Sharar-Stoppel has served in a variety of roles in her banking career, including branch president, managed assets manager, commercial banking manager, and senior underwriter.
