Scott began his career on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange, joined Wayne Hummer in 1989 as a financial advisor and became the firm's youngest partner in January of 1999. He manages over $200 million in assets for his clients and became a member of the firm's "Circle of Excellence" for top Wayne Hummer advisors in 2004. Scott served on the Board of Directors of nPhase LLC, a machine-to-machine technology company.

Scott was born in Caracas, Venezuela and grew up in Alpena, Michigan where he achieved the Eagle rank in scouting. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in economics and furthered his education at DePaul University where he earned his M.B.A. in finance. He holds the following FINRA Securities Licenses 7, 24, 63, 66 and his Insurance License.

Scott's commitment to his clients, as well as to his family and community, exemplifies the importance he places on personal involvement. Scott and his wife Alison, live with their children Sarah, Hallie, and Ryan in Glen Ellyn, where he is active in the P.A.D.S program, coaches youth softball, competes on Glen Ellyn's platform tennis team, and is a member of Glen Oak Country Club and the Rotary Club.

J.P. has worked in the financial industry since 1998. He believes that building strong personal relationships and community involvement are key components in any business. He cares for his client's financial future; and, because of this shared philosophy, he joined Wayne Hummer in 2006.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in both finance and insurance from Illinois State University. He uses the knowledge he attained in school daily while focusing on insurance products, stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. He understands that long-term strategies are essential to the financial success of his clients.

Having grown up in the Wheaton school system, J.P. is happy to support DuPage schools by volunteering for the local Junior Achievement program, DuPage Habitat for Humanity, as well as the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society's Team in Training. He spends his free time enjoying all types of music and any sport Chicago has to offer.
